the arrested protesters coming back to the hearings? they re not supposed to. there is agreement that if you get arrested you should not be coming back. many think it is not the perfect system. are they being paid to protest? not technically. sometimes they are paid to stand in line, but activist groups are covering the fines of many of those arrested. dianne feinstein is being criticized for being too nice to brett kavanaugh. she is in a fight this fall for her seat against kyle and deb lyons. liberal activist do not like it. here s a fund-raising pitch. he says are you kidding me, he is trying to energize the liberal base against dianne feinstein. it is said that you campaign in poetry, you govern in prose. there is a reason that corey did what he did earlier today because he is campaigning. feinstein said there were as many as 1.2 million women who
won should be credited with pushing them over the line. they have been advertising a bit on the tax cuts. they are funded by corporations who, whether this is the number one reason they donated to the leadership fund or not have definitely benefited from the tax cuts. so what about speaker ryan s connections to the leadership fund? so this is sort of a fund that he has blessed. he has been involved in the fund-raising. not directly. he has attended events where then he leaves the room where the fund-raising pitch is made, politico has reported. this is obviously republican leadership s connection to this pac has helped it raise a lot of money. the speaker s connection is a big part of that. again, the tax cuts were a huge legacy item for the speaker. so it s not surprising that we see a lot of their donors being very happy about those cuts. yes, and putting money into it again, recycling some of the money they got back.
and take action. if a member of congress is so petrified of the nra that they are not willing to take them on when they know in their gut and in their heart it is the right thing to do, they should just find another line of work. let me ask you this. as you know, the president visited some of the survivors of the parkland shooting and the president s reelection campaign is now using a photo of the president with one of those survivors, in the hospital, as part of an e-mail to ask recipient to donate money to his campaign, and perhaps understandably, less than two weeks beyond shooting here, there is is outrage over this. what is your reaction to this photo, which we are seeing on our screen right now being used in a fund-raising pitch? well, it is pretty hard to take. what makes it hard for me to take is that h is a president who says a lot of things and in this case is trying to communicate he is somewhat sympathetic. i tell you, his sympathies would
