SACRAMENTO, Calif. Sacramento Police Department said a suspect who shot at officers during a chase has been found and detained.
In a tweet, Sacramento Police Department said officers tried to do an enforcement stop on a driver in a stolen vehicle around 5 p.m., but it led to a vehicle chase between the driver and officers.
Officer Karl Chan, spokesperson for the department, said the suspect fired shots at officers during the pursuit and eventually ran away into the area of Wallace Avenue and 38th Avenue. Chan said no officers were injured during the chase and that the suspect was the only person in the vehicle.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. Traffic was temporarily shut down on Watt Avenue and Fruitridge Road in South Sacramento after a woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday, police say.
Sacramento police said the crash just before 4:45 p.m.
First responders took the pedestrian to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver remained at the scene before he was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Police did not release the identities of the pedestrian or the driver and did not say what led to the collision.
