Porsche and Team Penske are joining forces once again and will take on the race tracks of the world with a quartet of LMDh prototypes. The team will race under the Porsche Penske Motorsport banner and will enter four cars. Two will race in Europe’s FIA World Endurance Championship and two in North America’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, competing for overall victories. The outfit will enter the LMDh category in 2023 and will also offer customer cars starting the same year. Porsche Penske Motorsport has revealed that the car is based on an LMP2 chassis, weighs about 1,000 kg (2,204 lbs) and will be powered by a 500 kW (670 hp) hybrid drivetrain.
