Tej Bhagra won multiple awards at the Minnesota State Science Fair for his NanoSeptic invention, a self-cleaning sleeve, and subsequent study. In addition to placing first in the Beckman Coulter Award for middle school science, Bhagra earned the Emerging Scientist Award, the Broadcom Masters Award, and the MAS Gold Award for middle school.

On Wednesday, the teams pitched their app designs virtually to executives from US Bank as part of the Technovation App Challenge. The students then received feedback on their projects. An 11-year-old artist won the Rochester MN Pride t-shirt design contest last week and you can purchase her art over the next week only.
Abigail Sievers, a sixth-grader at Friedell Middle School, submitted a drawing of joyous, multicolored people celebrating to convey “happiness for everyone and being ok with who you are.”
The t-shirts, proceeds from which will raise money for Rochester Pride 2021, are on sale at
