Wednesday morning’s planned closure of the busy Tarentum Bridge prompted thousands of motorists to look for alternative ways across the Allegheny River.
Many of them encountered long lines of traffic and delays at crossing points such as the New Kensington Bridge between New Kensington and East Deer’s Freeport Road.
