FREEMAN A pair of planned housing developments is expected to help ease the crunch of a shortage of housing in Freeman.
The new developments are the product of a group effort between multiple city entities, private landowners and developers, according to Carol Eisenbeis, development and marketing coordinator for the city of Freeman.
“It is very much a collaborative effort. The city of Freeman understands the need for development and housing options. This is a huge investment in economic development,” Eisenbeis told the Mitchell Republic recently.

FREEMAN Two health care providers in Freeman are partnering in an effort to plan for the construction and development of new health care facilities in Freeman.
Freeman Regional Health Services, an Avera affiliate, and the Salem Mennonite Home will address the continuum of care for the community through a recent planning and development agreement known as the Unified Healthcare Campus Project to formalize how they will work together to offer health care services to all generations.
