Truro, N.S. (May 3, 2021) – The Canadian Tire Cup Eastlink North Semi-Finals start Wednesday night as the Miramichi Timberwolves host the Campbellton Tigers in the first game of a best-of-five series. The Timberwolves have home-ice advantage due to a better record in the playoff round-robin. The winner will face the Fredericton Red Wings for the Eastlink North Division title. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Canadian Tire Cup, which goes to the winner between the Eastlink North and South Divisions, will not be awarded this season.

Fredericton man turns Christmas trees into big donation for school breakfast program
When Josh Paul moved from outside city limits into the city of Fredericton, he found himself at a loss over what to do with his Christmas tree.

Josh Paul started picking up Christmas trees in return for donations when the regular program was cancelled

On Monday morning, Josh Paul presented Kelly Parks, the principal of Liverpool Street elementary school, with the donations he got from picking up Christmas trees. The funds will go towards providing kids with breakfasts for the rest of the school year, as well as winter boots and clothing for students in need.(Submitted by Josh Paul)
