Huntington, L.I.: Given that the undeniable magic of Christmas brings out reflection, humility, kindness and the best of the human condition, I wanted to share some of that spirit with my fellow New Yorkers. Contrary to popular opinion, and as a devout Yankees fan, I am thrilled to witness the excitement and joy that Mets fans are experiencing with the flurry of player signings made possible by their dynamic owner, Steven “Uncle Stevie” Cohen.
Manhattan: Re “ ‘Triggered’ Oscars host Amy Schumer says she’s ‘traumatized’ by watching Will Smith slap Chris Rock” (March 30): Note to Amy Schumer: Chris Rock is also at fault and he should be banned from the Academy Awards. Yes, he is a comedian so what? So are you. I watched the program and I didn’t think anything was funny in it. I do not know who wrote the script for this show and how much they got paid for this, but it was horrendous.
