Summit Utilities Inc. announced Tuesday it will resume charging late fees and disconnecting customers for nonpayment beginning in July, though the plan is opposed by Attorney General Tim Griffin, whose filings sparked an investigation by the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
The company, based in Denver, suspended disconnecting customers for nonpayment and charging late fees in November after implementing a new billing and customer experience platform.

Natural gas utility Summit Utilities confirmed Tuesday in a news release that its Arkansas residential customers will see a reduction in the "cost of gas" rate on their bills this summer.
