KALAMAZOO, MI The first business at the second phase of Western Michigan University’s Business, Technology and Research Park is set to open its doors later this fall.
The facility will be the first to open at the newly constructed business park, located along Drake Road south of Stadium Drive in Oshtemo Township. Nearly two years after the park’s second phase was opened to individual developers, the Borgess facility remains the only business that has purchased land so far, WMU spokesperson Paula Davis said.

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Monday, the Bronson Health Foundation (BHF) announced the public launch of its Cancer Care Campaign.
Since 2019, BHF has been engaging regional donors who have come together to help enhance cancer care services for adult and pediatric patients across the Bronson Healthcare system.
Officials say that during the initial phase of the campaign, BHF received more than $9 million â exceeding its initial fundraising goalâfrom individuals, families, businesses, and foundations.
Now, the foundation says that a community-wide public initiative is underway to support meaningful and equitable programs and services for patients undergoing cancer care at Bronson.

KALAMAZOO, MI The cancer center across from Bronson Methodist Hospital has opened its doors for adult cancer patients, the healthcare system announced Monday, Feb. 1.
In less than two years, the healthcare system built the five-story center for medical oncology, hematology and infusion services, according to a news release from Bronson. In addition to outpatient treatment, the new center offers cancer patients support services such as survivorship, palliative care, nutrition counseling and healthy living activities, the release said.

KALAMAZOO, MI The Ascension Medical Group Borgess Cancer Center is on track to open September 2021, the healthcare system announced.
The 38,000-square-foot facility is located near the intersection of Stadium Drive and Drake Road in Oshtemo Township.
Construction crews broke ground in August 2020. The facility is being built in the newly completed second phase of Western Michigan University’s Business, Technology and Research Park.
The multi-level building will offer medical oncology, hematology and infusion services, according to a news release from Ascension Borgess.
Hiring has begun for 46 full-time positions, ranging from pharmacists to oncology specialty nurses. The center will also employ 12 oncology physicians and specialists.
