THE US Embassy in Chad told Americans to shelter in place or leave by plane after the president was murdered by rebel forces, according to state TV reports.
The embassy sent an alert to all American employees just hours after Idriss Deby, 68, died warning of the potential for unrest.

The warning encouraged US citizens who are in Chad and able to leave do so by commercial airline. Do not wait for the U.S. Government to evacuate you. The U.S. Government does not anticipate organizing any non-commercial evacuation flight from Chad, it said.

The battle of Cerro Corá was fought on 1st March 1980 on the hill surrounded valley of Cerra Corá. The valley is located in the north-east of Paraguay. The battle was fought between the Paraguayan army and the imperial army. Paraguay’s president Francisco Solano López was killed in battle. This was the last battle in the Paraguayan War.
