Holbrook buddies who lost parents to Alzheimer's now pedal to halt disease

Wicked Local Frank Sullivan always was the go-to guy in the family, a man who combined a solid education with a philosophy to give back to others as his central creed. And that made it even harder for his family to watch as Alzheimer s disease slowly but incessantly took away those gifts, turning his sharp mind forgetful and his giving nature into a sometimes angry man. It took a physical toll on him, stated his son, Paul Sullivan. He couldn t perform any daily functions, he needed 24-hour care. As painful as it was to watch his father battle with the disease, Paul, who grew up in Holbrook, decided to do some giving back himself. A dozen years ago, he organized Sully s Buddies, a bicycle team to ride in the Memory Ride - now called the Ride to End ALZ MA/NH - to raise funds for the Alzheimer s Association.

Placid will hold the meet the first two days, and Saranac will host the final two. Charlie came up from New York Sunday morning and has been working out daily on the Mirror Lake rink under the watchful eye of his trainer, Peter C. Dube of Escanaba, Michigan. He is showing his friends and admirers the same form and speed that have carried him to victory so many times in the past in hard-fought races here and abroad.

With more CR&S professionals (1,542 in total) taking part in the survey and revealing a higher remuneration package, this is a fitting testament to the growing importance of the sustainability sector. Data from the survey, conducted by Acre, Carnstone and Flag, also highlights that average in-house roles far surpassed consultancy positions which has widened the average salary gap between the two from £11,500 in 2018 to £16,000 in 2020. Dan Bond, senior consultant for CR&S at Acre Resources, said: “One thing we are seeing is a shift towards roles centred around purpose sitting at increasingly senior levels within businesses.
