Perhaps the bitter pill in todays remembrance is now becoming how we let the unity of those days that followed slip away from us. Today we have division, we have pandemic, we have unrest and then comes this anniversary which is dusted with our memories of terror and patriotism that pulled all of us together in that last dark time but not so today not at all. 3 billion acres burned and nearly 4,000 homes and buildings lost so far. A 12yearold boy and his grandmother are among the latest deaths. The flames are to spreading so fast, it really doesnt give people much time to get out. If the fire is also taking a toll in Washington State where more than 100 homes are gone and a 1yearold boy died as his family tried to flee the flames.
