Meridian Township decided to pull the plug on their fireworks, organizers said that it was a pretty tough decision for them to make. According to WILX TV10, Meridian Township hosted fireworks on the Fourth of July for 30 years and always drew a big crowd. Even though pandemic restrictions are being loosened organizers felt they had to cancel for this year.
