On April 15, following a brief, commentless public hearing, the City Council voted to approve a land swap between the city and property owners Larry and Ieileen Steffes.
The properties included in the swap are located along U.S. Highway 71 north of Schoneman’s Lumber. The parcel owned by the Steffes was a relatively narrow strip of land running west from Highway 71 to Fourth Avenue West on the northern border of a vacant city-owned property.
