Times Record Dr. Felicia Petty Smith s seven-year term on the board of the Arkansas Humanities Council (AHC) ended on Dec. 31. She was welcomed as a board member in January 2013. For the past two years, she presided as AHC’s chairperson. She served as a member under directors Paul Austin and Jama Best and was previously on the selection committee for the AHC director position. AHC presented Smith with a service award plaque to honor her volunteer work on the board, where she brought an array of educational experiences to the table. She was a committee member of the first strategic planning process, the REACH grant, the mini-grant, and major grant programs, and was a member of the director selection, financial, and executive committees.
