Dacre: "Hatred of Brexit that is so palpable among the people who really run this country meant I would not be able to do justice to myself, or Ofcom".
Paul Dacre is returning to his advisory role at Mail publisher DMG Media, three weeks after leaving and days after Daily Mail editor Geordie Greig left.
Mr Dacre, who edited the title for 26 years, will take an active role advising Lord Rothermere, the company s owner and chairman, and its editors. He is Fleet Street s longest-serving editor.
