Months after Atlanta city officials relocated a few hundred residents of Forest Cove Apartments due to poor living conditions, a wrongful death lawsuit names the complex and property management group, Millennia Housing Management, as defendants.
Hundreds of families were moved out of the dilapidated Forest Cove Apartments and into temporary spaces around Atlanta. Now many of those residents say that promises the city made to them have been unfulfilled.
New legislation from the Atlanta City Council would look into criminally charging landlords who leave their tenants around the city living in "deplorable conditions."
