The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified the victim in a fatal crash Thursday involving three motorcycles on State Route 207 Kingsbury Grade near Lake Tahoe in Douglas County.
UPDATE 7PM: According to NHP, there were two crashes that happened this evening in the area of I-580 and Fairview, northbound lane just after 5:30 p.m. Both crashes were non-injury, however, northbound I-580 was closed briefly. It was re-opened at around 7 p.m. Meanwhile, CCSO reports separate crashes that happened later, just after 6 p.m.
UPDATE 12:56PM: Kingsbury Grade is now open with restrictions. Chains or snow tires required. Semis are prohibited. UPDATE 11:38AM: US-395 closed in both directions due to flooding at Cradlebaugh Bridge. The alternative route is Jacks Valley Road. UPDATE: 1030AM: Kingsbury Grade is closed in both directions.
A Battle Mountain man died on Sunday morning after he crashed his motorcycle in Eastern Churchill County, the Nevada High Patrol reports. Michael A. Jurad, 66, died of his injuries. Jurad s wife, Mary L. Jurad, who was a passenger, was flown to Reno and is listed in serious condition this morning at Renown Regional Medical Center, NHP reports.
