First Bank Kansas names Cody Heiman, Vice President/Loan Officer

Salina, Kansas. First Bank Kansas has named Cody Heiman as Vice President/Loan Officer. Heiman has joined the Salina Branch located at 235 S. Santa Fe.
Heiman brings to First Bank Kansas several years of banking industry experience. Prior to joining First Bank Kansas, Heiman worked as a Loan Officer in Topeka, Kansas, for Vision Bank. A graduate of Washburn University, Heiman holds a degree in Business Finance & Management. Heiman brings a background of knowledge of community banking and putting the customer first. “I’m looking forward to meeting and serving the people of Central Kansas,” said Heiman in a release.
Schroller named compliance manager, Bank Secrecy Act officer at First Bank Kansas

First Bank Kansas has announced Dustin Schroller as the new compliance manager and Bank Secrecy Act officer.
Schroller grew up in Salina and graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Schroller comes from a diverse banking background, and most previously joins First Bank Kansas from Vortex. Schroller will be responsible for auditing and reviewing the lending, deposits, and bank operations.
“We are very excited to have Dustin join our team,” said Chief Operations Officer Angie Eilrich. “Dustin brings over 20 years of operational experience to the team. His banking background, along with other real-world experience, makes him a great addition to First Bank Kansas.”
Berens, a 48-year professional in the financial industry, recently retired as Vice-President of First Bank Kansas.
Berens, of Victoria, Kansas, said her first job following high school was in 1973 at the Farmer’s Co-op Credit Union in Hays.
In 1974, Berens married Bernie Berens and moved to Salina.
Berens worked for numerous banks prior to joining First Bank Kansas, including Bank of America, Nation’s Bank and People’s Heritage.
“There was a period in time where banks were always being bought and the names changed,” she said, jokingly. “That’s when First Bank Kansas approached me and said you need to come work for a family bank. ”
