Five Irish Named Phil Steele All-Americans, 13 Tabbed All-ACC share NOTRE DAME, Indiana Five Notre Dame student-athletes were selected to Phil Steele’s All-America teams, in addition to two honorable mentions. Those five join a total group of 13 Irish players who earned All-ACC team honors from Phil Steele.  Graduate student offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg, senior linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and sophomore safety Kyle Hamilton were named first-team All-American, while redshirt freshman running back Kyren Williams and senior offensive lineman Aaron Banks claimed third-team honors. Graduate student offensive lineman Tommy Kraemer and junior offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson earned honorable mentions for the All-America teams.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – “This is just the beginning so let’s continue to build,” said Karen & Kevin Keyes Notre Dame head women’s basketball coach Niele Ivey after the team’s 69-67 win over Georgia Tech last Sunday. The Fighting Irish (5-4, 3-2) will look to do just that on Thursday when they travel to the Conte Forum to challenge the Boston College Eagles (4-4, 0-4). Game 9 Preview: Georgia Tech Rematch

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – In a rare college basketball instance, the University of Notre Dame women’s basketball team (4-4, 2-2) will get to ring a previous wrong when they once again host Georgia Tech (4-2, 2-1) on Sunday, Jan. 3. The rematch is scheduled to tip-off at 4 p.m. EST inside Purcell Pavilion, airing live on the ACC Network. HISTORY WITH THE YELLOW JACKETS The Irish were a perfect 13-0 all-time against Georgia Tech, until the Yellow Jackets invaded Purcell Pavilion on Dec. 13 and left with an 82-67 victory. Maddy Westbeld nearly netted a double-double in the game with 21 points and nine rebounds. Dara Mabrey was the lone other Irish in double figures with 11 points. Both Westbeld and Mabrey were 3-for-4 from beyond the arc that day. The Irish will look to stop Lorela Cubaj who posted 16 points and 13 boards.
