i never forget years ago when i met her after the boston bombing. someone who has fought consistently and now a champion for others. she s just this ultimate woman. i don t know how else to tay is other than heather abbott sparkles. i love this series so much. and she is absolutely incredible. she is incredible and what is most remarkable about heather is she never once felt sore forry herself and why me and why i did i lose part of my left leg and restart my life and immediately as she recovered, she went into fight mode, to fight for others because most people of course can t afford life-like prosthetics. so expensive. that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. and she s raised a million dollars to get these for people like little jude to kick the soccer ball or other women to wear the high heels they love so much and feel like they re full self and she s fighting the insurance companies.
welcome back, everyone. i m ayman mohyeldin alongside louis bergdorf. it is the bottom of the hour. let s start with the morning s top stories for you. president trump spent part of his labor day once again attacking attorney general jeff sessions, this time over the indictments of two republican congressmen. nbc news white house correspondent kristen welker has the latest. reporter: with critical battles looming on the high court and campaign trail, president trump walked outside the house in golf gear and went back inside and into fight mode, attacking labor unions on labor day and lashing out at a familiar target, his attorney general jeff sessions, the president slamming what he called the jeff sessions justice department which indicted republican congressment duncan hunter for misusing campaign funs and chris colins for insider trading.

and conspiracy, he s doing that for a couple of reasons. one it s a continuation what we now know is an intensified attack on the intelligence community and the fbi. the president has gone into fight mode, and we ve seen that quite clearly with some of the statements he s made lately. the president also knows any narrative is living breathing entity. and he has to feed that narrative if people are going to continue to buy into it and believe it. so i think he s aware of that with regard to those on his base and also with the investigation, he s changing his strategy. there was a time he was subtle on attacking the process the fbi and the intelligence community is going through. but that s become very direct now. this particular individual, unfortunately, is a victim of president. and if he s got mueller, if he s got other individuals who are part of this investigation, he has no problem adding another
