with john muller and diana perez. good thursday morning. we begin with the rush to rescue 300 passers missing after a giant ferryboat capsized off the coast of south korea. many divers are out there but heavy rain, wind and storm currents are hampering the effort. within the last few hours, some frantic family members returned to port after sailing to the scene of the disaster. some say they still have hope after receiving text messages from their loved ones. here s abc s gloria rivera. reporter: a desperate rescue mission, first responders struggling to reach the massive ferry on its side and sinking fast. plucking passengers, many of them teenagers, off the deck now vertical, holding railings to keep their footings into high rescue boats. it was very intense, this man says, the ship was tilted more than 45 degrees.
