On Wednesday, Oct 11, in Friday Harbor, ten very enthused, passionate and smart folks gathered for a discussion group meeting with the goal of understanding the current ferry situation and moving forward with strategies and goals. The lively meeting produced several avenues for both immediate and long-term goals. i was among the attendees. At the close of the meeting, attendees voted to name the group F.L.O.W. – “Ferry Lovers of Washington” – an ode to a past beloved island journalist, Howard Schoenberger.
