Several months ago, I read a book titled, “The Second Wave, Feminist Theory,” written by Linda Nicholson, an American feminist scholar. It addresses various kinds of feminist theories and movements in the U.S. as well as Europe. As I am very interested in such themes and activities, reading the book was a good chance for me to look at past and current feminist issues. As I was reading, it was obvious that the author mainly dealt with these issues from a Western, American woman s perspective. Thus, I needed to take it with a grain of salt.
