they may be down but not out. democracy is not optional in wisconsin. wisconsin union backers continue to flood the state capital a full 24 hours after the republican senate passed the union busting bill. this morning s headline tells the story. capitol shocker. it took just 30 minutes for republicans in the state senate to pass a bill. no, no. listen. the governmental body should provide 24 hours notice. this is clearly a violation of the law. the scene in fact chaotic as up to 200 demonstrators were carried out by police. in a building the courts have ordered open and it is clearly not. thousands of them chanting shame! shame! on the assembly floor, outnumbered democrats have no option other than outrage as republicans pass the bill. once again, today we were cheated out of democracy. the republicans have won their battle with the unions in wisconsin. their clever maneuver last night got them what they wanted.
