mimics fasting. dr. samadi, what s this all about? julie, there s lots of ways to lose weight, a new fad that s coming out and that s fasting. a study that was published that looked at 38 patients. half of them had normal diets the other half went on fasts for about five days a month, and what they followed them afterwards they realized the ones that fasted, meaning they took 750 calories a day, they ended up having lower amounts of fat, cholesterol went down and risk to vardio vascular went down and they were healthier. did the same thing in yeast, mice and human and the same pattern. taking a break from animal fat, sugar, and all the fatty food we re having and tyke five days break of very low calorie intake, you become healthier, so there are pros and cons. i think it s not a bad idea to do it for a couple of days, ng, lower the amount of calories that you take, just to break the cycle of your routine, eating the same kind of food all the time, but if you do it for prolong period,
