WESTPORT Camp Noquochoke, the Boy Scout camp in Westport, may have been closed for more than 40 years, but the indelible impression that special place had on generations of Greater Fall River boys has not faded. June 26 marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the camp, and a special event on Sept. 25 will be held to mark the occasion.
All Scouts, past and present, are invited to celebrate the centennial. A walk through the forested property that was the site of the former Boy Scout camp is planned, as is a social gathering nearby. More information will be provided later this summer.

From the moment she took the stand in what was one of the first highly publicized trials in American history, Lizzie Borden has been an object of fascination. Now, her former home where her father, Andrew, and step-mother, Abby, were murdered in 1892 is up for sale, along with Maplecroft, the house she and her sister Emma purchased following her trial.
