breaking news out of washington, d.c., a deadly hit and run right near the white house. reports of multiple pedestrians hit. the secret service searching for the driver, who they say killed at least one pedestrian, others rushed to the hospital. authorities say this all began when officers tried to stop the driver. that driver then taking off, allegedly running a red light, then striking those pedestrians. then getting away. abc s faith abubey leading us off tonight from the nation s capital. reporter: tonight, the secret service and d.c. police scouring washington, d.c., for a honda accord with expired plates. it happened around 1:30 this afternoon. secret service officers tried pulling that driver over for that expired registration gnat far from the white house, when the driver took off, running a red light, hitting three people in the crosswalk. those secret service officers rendering aid, but one of the victims, a 75-year-old male, died at the hospital. park police telling our af
the first responder holding back tears, speaking with our faith abubey. the reality just slapped up in the face. what was that like? i can t describe it. can t. we have nothing. reporter: that twister claiming four lives. debris still littering this neighborhood. branches, roofing. those two dumpsters were filled with scraps ripped off of that elementary school. there were students and staff sheltering in place when that tornado came through. fortunately, no injuries. whit: thankfully, still some incredible damage. let s get right to abc s senior meteorologist rob marciano. another round of tornado threats happening tonight and tomorrow. similar areas we ve reset the tables. dallas is in a watch box and there s a several of them across parts of the high plain including the texas panhandle and the tornado watch around wyoming. that s kind of the cluster that they think will hold together
