Morocco launches tender for the development of 400 MW of wind power

The Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen) has launched a pre-qualification round in a tender for the construction and operation of the 400 MW Nassim Nord wind complex in northern Morocco. The tender will select a company to finance, build and operate two wind farms. Bids can be submitted until 24 June 2024.  The Nassim Nord complex will consist of the 150 MW Koudia Al Baida wind project in the northern provinces of Fahs Anjra and M'diq-Fnideq, and the 250 MW Nassim Dar Chaoui that will be located in the Tangier and Tetouan provinces.

In the most affected province of Larache, north of Rabat - the capital-, rescuers where supported by the army as all attempted to keep in check fires that were still active and threatening villages on Wednesday. The fires in the north of the kingdom have left at least four dead since mid-July.
