Post-pandemic robust rebound in the American market has ushered in multiple opportunities for Vietnam to expand its export of key products, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The southern province of Binh Duong posted a trade surplus of 6.6 billion USD in the first seven months of this year, the provincial People’s Committee reported at a meeting on August 9.
Vietnam has been forecast to have 37 groups of commodities posting an export value of over 1 billion USD each in 2021, an increase of four groups compared to 2020, despite the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Twenty-seven export items joined the “one-billion-dollar” club in the first five months of this year, as compared with only 23 seen in the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
