The Houston Texans lost to AFC South rival Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 21-24. Matt Amendola had his game-tying field goal attempt fall inches short by hitting the crossbar. Rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud continued to shine by throwing for over 300 yards with two touchdowns and rushing for another score. It was a wild Sunday afternoon at NRG Stadium as the Texans sunk the Buccaneers 39-37. Quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for 470 yards which set a new NFL record for single-game passing yards by a rookie.
