As a Wayne County morgue contracted employee removed the body of a man last week, police said he was actually casing the place and was caught burglarizing it - but said he was there as an cleanup crew.
A man working for a company contracted by the Wayne County morgue is accused of breaking into a home of a deceased person he reportedly helped transport the day prior.
“What more a crime of opportunity, to be able to have access to a home, know the resident is deceased," said Chief Robbins, "interview and talk to the family and ultimately be able to scope out inside the residence, to see what you want to come and take the next day.”
