Joyous reunions among vaccinated parents and children across the country marked this yearâs Motherâs Day, the second one celebrated during the coronavirus pandemic.
Colerain Rainsburg Recreation program is seeking monetary donations to offset depleted funds as a result of the pandemic. The funds are used for park upkeep. Send donations to: Colerain Recreation, c/o Cheryl A. Gardner, 3746 Main Road, Bedford. Anyone with questions can call 814-847-2660.
Annual spring pancake and sausage breakfast will be served by the Everett Lions Club from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. May 22 at the Everett Church of the Brethren. There will be pancakes, whole hog sausage, puddinâ, sausage gravy, applesauce, scrambled eggs and hot and cold beverages available. Donations will be accepted for the all-you-can-eat breakfast. Take-out meals will be available. The church is located along Water Street with ample parking available.

K. Joseph âJoeâ Triplett, 89, of Upper Snake Spring Road, Everett, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021, at Homewood at Martinsburg.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1932, in Bedford, a son of the late Harper B. and Orpha L. (Wareham) Triplett. On June 28, 1953, he was united in marriage to Janet A. (Grimes) Triplett.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Kenneth A. Triplett, in 1932.
Joe is survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Richard, Robert, James, Greg, who was looked at as a brother, Betty, Charlotte, Nancy, Beverly and Janie.
He was a member of the Everett Church of the Brethren and attended the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren.
