Reporter somehow, no one on the interstate was killed. The train was traveling a new route for the very first time today. It was a new highspeed route that local leaders warned could be dangerous. Recovery crews are expected to be out there until late this evening. Right now theres no word on what caused the crash but investigators will look at the cause. The ntsb is now investigating and it could be a year before we finally have an official cause of the derailment. Jim . Harry hairston in our breaking news center. Todays derailment comes more than two years after a similar crash in our area. Eight people were killed in may of 2015 when an amtrak train from washington, d.
