Why brown is so on trend in fashion and design

Why brown is so on trend in fashion and design The natural color reminds people of being outside, one of the sweet reliefs of the last year. Share this story Mathis Wienand/Getty Images Welcome to , The Goods’ design trend column. You know that thing you’ve been seeing all over the place? Allow us to explain it. What it is: Brown is having a renaissance. From deep chocolate to buttery toffee, brunette hues have returned from fashion exile to become one of the most sought-after shades of the year. Long considered dated, dull, and unsophisticated especially when compared to fellow neutrals like black, white, and gray the color seems to have rehabilitated its public image and emerged as a mainstay in the homes and wardrobes of celebrities, models, designers, and influencers. Even Gen Z is on board.

Five Fits With: Samer Saliba, Who Balances Migration Work With a Love of (Responsible) Luxury Fashion

Five Fits With: Samer Saliba, Who Balances Migration Work With a Love of (Responsible) Luxury Fashion Esquire 2 hrs ago © Christopher Fenimore samer saliba Years ago, I worked at a (now-defunct) menswear store in NYC called Carson Street. Samer Saliba was a top customer. The store had the same feel as your barbershop. We were warm to all customers, and happy to chat, but we had a special relationship with our regulars. Many of these regulars became friends of ours, stopping in to the shop after work for a drink, or hell, maybe we’d even grab brunch or play basketball (and with Samer, indeed we would play basketball and grab egg sandwiches after).
