Shabbat table display set up to honor hostages in Gaza

Over the weekend, the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh set up empty Shabbat tables in Schenley Plaza to honor the estimated 240 victims held captive in Gaza.  Each place setting, adorned with blue tablecloths and napkins, had a poster honoring a hostage on the back of the chair. The display stayed up in Schenley Plaza.

For two chilly October evenings last weekend, the Cathedral of Learning stood as a towering beacon of mystery. Within its hallowed halls, brave visitors to the Quo Vadis Halloween tours embarked on a journey into phantasmal worlds of ghostly forests, catacombs and sinister myths, all within the walls of different Nationality Rooms in the Cathedral. .

'Electric': COIN and student openers rock Fall Fest 2023

“Can we just lose our minds for like 30 seconds?” shouted Chase Lawrence, the lead vocalist of COIN, to hundreds of Pitt students crowded into a stretch of Schenley Drive. The audience obliged, chanting the chorus of the band’s chart-topping single “Talk Too Much.” Pitt students bounced and belted while pop rock band COIN jammed.
