Police initially responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of McDonnel and Aylmer streets, however, they determined the victim was not stabbed but had been assaulted earlier.
Police say during a domestic argument between a man and woman on Aug. 25, a third man intervened by deploying bear spray in the immediate area of George and Dalhousie streets.
