ANOTHER 21 patients have died after testing positive for coronavirus at the trust which runs Colchester Hospital. The latest NHS England figures from today show 21 new deaths have been announced at the East Suffolk and North Essex Trust, which runs Colchester and Ipswich hospitals. A total of 894 patients have now died with Covid at the trust. One more patient has also died at the Essex Partnership University Trust, which runs mental health services in Essex, 14 more at the Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals Trust, 13 more at Mid Essex Hospitals Trust and eight more at the Southend University Hospitals Trust. Across England a further 609 patients have died with Covid in hospitals.

NHS England confirmed the deaths of another 993 patients with Covid in hospitals across England on Friday.
