The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, yesterday decried frequent changes in the leadership of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Akeredolu spoke in Akure, Ondo State capital, when the management of the commission led by the Interim Administrator and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Effiong Akwa, paid him a visit in his office.
During the visit of the management team, the NDDC donated three waste disposal trucks and skip bins to the state government.
The team also paid inspection visit to the construction site of the 132 KVA Transmission Station at Erinje in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state financed by the NDDC.

The Interim Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC) Mr Efiong Akwa, has assured member states of the Niger Delta and stakeholders that the era of carrying out projects and programmes without first building a working coalition with the states governments and stakeholders are gone.
Akwa who stated this in Akure, Ondo State capital, during a courtesy visit to the Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, said the Commission would accommodate inputs and involvement from all relevant stakeholders, saying this would help to integrate plans, policies, projects and programmes into the government’s overall master plan.

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has said that the era of duplicating projects in states in the region was over.
Its Interim Administrator of NDDC, Efiong Akwa said this in Akure, the Ondo state capital during a courtesy visit to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Akwa said that the past practice where the Commission undertook projects and programs in states, without first building a working coalition with the states governments, to integrate plans, policies, projects, and programs into the government’s overall master plan, will no longer hold.
