TR receives AP Awards nominations
ZANESVILLE - The Zanesville Times Recorder received six nominations for work completed in 2020 from the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors Awards. The TR competes in Division II.
Among nominations were best digital presence, best headline writer for Christine Holmes and best public service for Erin Couch s story on fire departments being dissatisfied with the Perry County 911 system amid a new levy.
Photographer Chris Crook received nominations for best photographer, best photo story for coverage of a local pride event and best video for a piece on Dresden & Co.

In consultation with Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) Public Health, the City of Kingston has opened some outdoor skating rinks to the public.
There are seven ice rinks currently open for skating, according to the City’s website. The rinks in City Park, McBurney Park, Polson Park, Victoria Park, and Market Square are open and in close proximity to Queen’s campus. Other rinks, such as those found in Molly McGlynn Park and Woodbine Park, are also open and more closely serve the East and West ends of the City.
