RPA Music Collective set to release second album, 'Otherworld'

RPA Music Collective set to release second album, ‘Otherworld’ REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) Redmond Proficiency Academy’s RPA Music Collective will release their second album on Friday, RPA High School Music Director Jonathan Moore announced Tuesday.  “Our students have really outdone themselves this year –  this album is a collaborative, unified and sophisticated artistic statement,” Moore said. “I am extremely impressed and proud of the work they put in.” Students collaborated on and recorded most of this album remotely using Soundtrap, a cloud-based recording software and Zoom. A few of the tracks were written and produced independently by students in RPA’s songwriting and production class.

RPA student enlists talent of award-winning recording artist to cover '80s classic

Redmond Proficiency Academy REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ Redmond Proficiency Academy sophomore Cecilia Clark recently recorded a beautiful cover of the Tears for Fears classic, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.” With the accompaniment of a few other musicians, including piano work from professional jazz singer and pianist, Laila Biali, Clark recorded the song in the family kitchen, with her father acting as executive producer.  The idea to record the track came from Cecilia’s father, Cameron Clark, who decided they needed a project after growing increasingly bored due to quarantining in their Central Oregon home. Cameron Clark has worked in the music industry for 30 years, producing music events locally and across the northwest. Her father also has a musical background, having played drums in high school and as a member of bands in his younger days.
