If you love watching hot air balloons, it s time for a Colorado road trip.
Hot Air Balloon festivals are popular attractions across the nation, around the world, and even here in Colorado. One such event is happening in the small community of Erie, May 14-16.
For more than 20 years, the Erie Town Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival has been an annual event, although last year s festival had to be canceled because of the pandemic. The festival is back this year, but it will be a scaled-down version.
Hot Air Balloons Take To Flight
Hot air balloons are scheduled to launch each day, but it all depends on the weather. Too much wind can keep the balloons grounded, so it s always possible the balloons won t launch on a particular day. Event organizers recommend guests be on location by 6:30am to watch the balloons and take off.
