JAMUL
The Jamul Indian Village of California donated $75,000 at the end of 2020 to regional health care agencies in the battle against the pandemic.
The tribe’s donations include $45,000 to Sharp Grossmont Hospital, $15,000 to Southern Indian Health Council and $15,000 to Indian Health Council, Inc.
“The tribe wanted to give back to those who have been impacted by COVID-19,” said JIV Chairwoman Erica Pinto. “We are donating these funds to honor the courage and resilience of our front-line health care workers and to support the children and families who are suffering as a result of the pandemic. We are truly grateful for the extraordinary and tireless efforts of each of these organizations and their workers.”
