대선 출마설이 도는 최재형 감사원장이 사퇴할 경우 감사원장 권한 대행은 감사원 최초 여성 감사위원 인 강민아 감사위원이 맡는 것으로 분석됐다.
강 위원은 감사위원 5명 가운데 손창동 위원과 함께 최장기간 재직자 (2018년3월 임용)이면서 재직기간이 같을 경우 연장자 가 맡는다는 법적 조건까지 부합한 것으로 나타났다. 감사원 최초 여성 감사위원장 권한대행 이 등장하는 것이다.
