On Thursday, to help commemorate Episcopal Collegiate s 25th anniversary, the school announced that its foundation had received a $25 million gift from the family foundation of Warren and Harriet Stephens, both of whom were intimately involved in the concept for the school, which opened Aug. 17, 1998, and provided much of its financial backing.
Twenty-five years after Episcopal Collegiate School opened, Warren and Harriet Stephens announced Thursday that their nonprofit foundation has gifted $25 million to the school to support its “academic excellence” and help ensure its “long-term sustainability.”
Most private schools in Arkansas are in larger cities and towns and most are Christian-based. Not surprisingly, that describes most of the schools the Department of Education has approved to
