finally tonight, more of my exclusive radio interview with president obama. the president says with thanksgiving on thursday, we have a lot of reasons to give thanks this week. i have to tell you, outside of the united states, people still look to the united states and are still optimistic about the united states, and we ve got some big problems, and we ve gone through a tough two, three years, but i think that everybody s got to remember all the things that we ve still got going for us. we ve got the best workforce in the world. we ve got the best universities in the world. we ve got incredible natural resources. we ve got a dynamic, you know, entrepreneur class. we just have to pull it together. but, the president had some
hurt the direction. doesn t it concern you a little bit that listen, jeff immelt is a nice guy. and i don t mean this in a nasty way. really? winding up, right? that we a member of the crony capitalists class in this job. it basically makes money out of government handouts. he s right, it would be nice to get people off the entrepreneur class in this job. and lots of things are bothersome. i mean, go find somebody like that. this is someone go look for somebody like that! does it bother me? sure. this is a guy who understands he understands what the issues are. having been involved in all of this. he understands he understands the nefarious connection between government and big business. better than the bureaucrats that preceded him.
means is that the entrepreneur class, the small business owners where most of the new jobs are created will suffer. that s his problem. regulation is up, chris, taxation is up, spending is up, when spending goes up, taxes go up, big government gets bigger and more intrusive. what taxes are going up? martin just told you, president obama is going to let the tax rate he s already said that they re going to go up, their going to let them die. i just think business is always saying taxing are going up to. a lot of things are anticipatory, chris. particularly when you have his economic team saying it s going to happen. okay, let s take a look at this thing, there is what paul krugman is saying and he s talking here about the business community, let s take a look at this, business leaders are feeling unloved. the financial crisis, health insurance scandals, and the catastrophe in the gulf of mexico have take an toll on their reputation.
