World No Tobacco Day is taking place on Wednesday, May 31, and South East Community Healthcare are encouraging all that smoke to use this date as their opportunity to quit or begin the process of quitting.
The primary care centre’s facilities include a GP surgery, pharmacy unit, ancillary medical unit as well as facilities for HSE and TUSLA. This is a state of the art investment, one which will deliver comprehensive healthcare services for Enniscorthy district and the wider county well into the future.
A new primary healthcare centre being developed at Quarrypark, Enniscorthy, will be prove to be hugely beneficial to the provision of healthcare in the town and district.
That was the view of Dr Mairead Kelly, who will be moving her practice into the new centre once it s built. It s great to see new development coming to Enniscorthy on top of developing the health care provision here, said Dr Kelly.
She said that the new centre will enable increased provision of care for patients and will also enable her personally to look at expanding the level of care her practice can offer.
A leading UK company, Primary Health Properties (PHP), has reached an agreement with a developer to fund the acquisition and construction of a purpose-built primary care centre in Enniscorthy.
The new centre will be located at Quarrypark and the cost of project is estimated to be in the region of €12.6m.
Agreements for the lease of the centre have been entered into for an initial term of 25 years and include the HSE and local GP, Dr Mairead Kelly.
Expressing delight at the news, Dr Kelly said the new facility will offer state-of-the-art medical services for people and will be a very welcome addition to medical care in the county.
