The release of the data, which was published today in the scientific journal, Nature, is significant because it helps bring medical research closer to the point of being able to target specific proteins to treat cancer.

The show must go on: Leyburn Band entertain shoppers with Christmas carols

FOR the good folk of Wensleydale, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without the traditional concert by Leyburn Band, accompanied by a spectacular overture of a fireworks display then inside for the concert where there isn’t normally a spare seat in the house. However Government restrictions saw this year’s concert and most other similar seasonal celebrations cancelled. Not to be put off, the band were determined that Wensleydale’s Christmas would have some musical content this year. Getting their Christmas season started, members of Leyburn Band performed carols twice outside at the Garden Rooms at Tennants. Members followed this up by two performances in Leyburn Market Place entertaining Friday market day shoppers.
