Over the years, she became known in Hampton Roads as a communications leader for the city of Virginia Beach, Sentara Healthcare, Cox Communications and North Carolina-based Food Lion. In the last leg of her career, she pursued community service by taking on the role of chief impact officer for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore in 2021.
